Egg Eaters

  • Light brown to grey brown with dark rhombic markings
  • Keel scales
  • V-shaped marking on nape of neck may be confused with the night adder
  • When threatened, will coil and uncoil, rubbing scales together to make a loud ‘hissing’ noise
  • Showing gaping black mouth and striking readily
  • Average length 65 – 80cm
